Kennel Worker
We are looking for a full-time/part-time Kennel Attendant at Main Street Animal Clinic-Trussville to help us provide the best care for pets staying at our hospital and support our technician and Dr teams.
This position supports pets staying in both our hospital and kennel. Among other responsibilities a Kennel Attendant:
- Walks dog
- Cleans dog runs/cages and cat cages
- Feeds pets in the kennel
- Bathing dogs and cats
- Maintains the overall cleanliness of the kennel area and hospital
- Observing animal behavior/health conditions and reporting changes to the technicians or doctors
This position has a flexible schedule and rotating Saturday and Sunday shifts.
If you are organized, quick on your feet, and have a love for caring for animals, then a Kennel Attendant position at Main Street Animal Clinic-Trussville may be the position for you!
In addition, there are also some other qualities that are important to us. These qualities include:
- Excellent communication skills
- Patient and caring personality
- Ability to follow instructions properly
- Comfortable being around animals (cats and dogs)
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (e.g. lift up to 40 lbs)
